Cathy lives in Central PA with her husband. For thirty years, she has devoted her life to working with children and teens, inspiring young people to read, write, and explore their creativity.
Cathy spent 17 years as a high school guidance counselor before becoming an elementary school librarian, a role she has embraced for the past 14 years. She currently also works as an elementary STEM teacher, combining her love of learning with her passion for helping children discover, question, create, and imagine. She is the author of five children’s books, with another currently in progress.
Cathy believes that children’s words matter. By focusing on children’s letters to Santa from around the world, she hopes readers will be reminded that despite differences in where children live or what their lives look like, the wonder, curiosity, and hope of childhood are universal. Cathy’s faith has also taught her the importance of kindness and gratitude, and those traits were woven into the story as well.
